My serial story, The Painter, is really starting to draw to a close, and I’m feeling a bit sad about it. I’ve really enjoyed writing each part and the characters have really grown on me. I can honestly say that out of everything that I have written, this story ranks high on my favorites list.
There’s still a few more parts to go before the story is completed, but it’s hard to really focus on that. I don’t want to say goodbye to Sal or Ella because they’ve been amazing characters to create. Sal is one of those characters that you can just relate to. He’s the kind of character that I wish I knew in real life, but it’s been a pleasure sharing him with everyone through this story. That’s partly why I love writing. I get to share these stories that I create with others so they can enjoy them. I hope that at least one person walks away with something meaningful. I’m not sure this story will really change someone’s life, but if it touches at least one person, I have been pretty successful.
There are two more parts waiting for you to read on The Painter. I hope that you enjoy them just as much as the rest of them. For now, part thirteen is posted, so go check that out here. As always, please let me know what you think so far.

Great writing, Melissa. I’ve enjoyed this story very much. Blessings to you…
