I have to ask you , Malissa, after seeing your progress I know you will be nearing the end of your novel. What publishing companies are you interested in? Or are you planning on attracting the help of a literary agent? Mainly, I wonder what your thoughts are on self-publishing. I’m an unpublished author of a finished debut novel that I know is amazing, but it hasn’t caught the attention of a literary agent. I’ve been flirting with the idea of self-publishing but, of course, I’m hesitant. What do you think about the whole thing?
I am going to go for the self-publishing route this time. I’ve heard great things about it and you can be successful doing it now. In the past, it was unheard of. It just takes a lot of dedication to do it. With self-publishing, you have control of your own book. I think that’s important especially with my first book. It’s like my child haha
