Happy new year to everyone! I hope you’ve all had a very exciting and safe time ringing in 2011. This is the time when people make resolutions about what they want to accomplish/change for the new year. I usually make one and never keep it, but this year will be different. I decided to make a list of all the things I hope to accomplish:

  1. Finish my book. I’ve been procrastinating and not focusing on it as much as I should have been. 2011 is my year to make that happen.
  2. Learn to take  things one day at a time. I’ve become good at panicking over things that haven’t even happened yet (and may not..). I need to learn to just take a step back and relax.
  3. Get a job that I’m happy with.  Maybe one that deals with my English degree. That would be nice.
  4. Find that “perfect” boyfriend that has been hiding (and he’s been doing it rather well too…)
  5. Conquer my O.C.D and learn to let go of the firm grip I have on the hand sanitizer.
  6. Stop letting fear control me.
  7. Take my own advice every once in awhile.
  8. Oh, and, um, finish that book of mine! Haha

That’s the list as of right now. I’m sure I will continue to add on it and once I have the finished list, I will fill you all in. In the meantime, I hope you’re enjoying this weekend and spending time with loved ones! Hopefully, this year has started out well! If not, look on the bright side. It’s only the first of the year. You can change it around. 🙂

Oh, and one note before I end this.. my “Interview With a Character” blog fest is January 7th, so if you haven’t signed up and still want to participate, please e-mail me at thestoryinme@gmail.com or just leave a comment here and let me know! I’ve had a good response so far but more is always welcome! Character interviews are great fun to do. I’m excited to share mine.
